You ideas about openness and freedom and agency are interesting. Certainly the industrialization process has increased access and possibilities for choice to many things. I think that you would agree with me that access can't be the end-all - access has to be in the service of quality because access to poor quality learning experiences can actually be worse than no access:-)
Yes, that is a good point about poor quality learning experiences. Then again, what is a poor quality learning experience? What if you didn't have any access to learning experiences before? I wonder if there are some learning experiences that are so poor that it would be better to have no learning experience at all. That would make for a good discussion! :)
